The Magic Circle is a unique interactive experience exploring group dynamics, improvised performance, therapeutic play, and ritual magic. Facilitated by professional wizard and trained hypnotherapist Devin Person, the Magic Circle is a game played according to two simple rules:

1. Inside the circle, the Wizard is given authority by the group

2. Anyone no longer wishing to play the game may leave the circle

This basic structure allows the Wizard to draw the group into a one-of-a-kind experience as personal stories, unconscious creations, powerful emotions, and playful silliness are shaped into something healing, hilarious, and more than a little magical.

The Magic Circle will be held in a private space at MaybeItsFate on October 10 from 6:30 - 9pm. Please arrive on time as doors will be closed and the ritual will begin at 7pm sharp. To preserve the sanctity of the space, no late entries will be admitted.

We recommend wearing loose comfortable clothing that you can sit, lie, or move around in.

While any emotions or experiences that emerge in the group will be welcomed and handled with compassion and care, the focus of the event is on creating a meaningful, magical experience. This is a trauma-informed space, but NOT a trauma-focused space, meaning the goal isn’t to push participants into difficult emotional breakdowns but rather to create spaces where more empowering experiences become possible.
